I'm all ears for suggestions on what else could have caused this. We all disregarded it the first time this happened but after it occurred a second time with the same outcome, virtualbox being the only application to have updated after the reboot, I'm naturally going to assume it's that application which caused it. I get what you're saying, there shouldn't be any application that forces an update or reboot the computer but the fact of the matter is after all 3 laptops restarted, without warning or being prompted, the only application that had updated was virtualbox.

It's the only common denominator across the 3 laptops it occurred on though. Something else is going on, and it's definitely not VirtualBox.

Wide availability of textbooks and support options.Collaborate with team members and share data.Ability to identify factors influencing your results.Crystal Ball includes powerful reports, charts and graphs that let you vividly present and communicate the results of your analysis, and give you a credible picture of risk. Analysis of these scenarios reveals the range of possible outcomes, their probability of occurring, which input has the most effect on your model and where you should focus your efforts. Crystal Ball automatically calculates thousands of different "what if" cases, saving the inputs and results of each calculation as individual scenarios. Crystal Ball (standard edition) is the easiest way to perform Monte Carlo simulations in your Excel spreadsheets and models. Imagine being able to simulate a what-if scenario over a million times in a few minutes? Crystal Ball can do that and much more.
